Inspiration for Birds of Fire
It is very easy for us to switch off to images of innocent people afflicted by war. We can just change channels and tune into something else. But what about those people where the threat from unseen birds of fire is very real? We can only imagine…
And what about the moral dilemma?
Intervene and things will likely get messier. Sit back and let the atrocities continue? We debated the tone of this song amongst ourselves. It’s a difficult tone to get right. Our protagonist pleads for outside help and despairs at having to fend for themselves. They are no hero. Just trying to be positive and commentate on a very challenging situation.
What would you do?
